Case Manager

About Me

Hello! My name is Dr. Natasha Pacheco, and I am proud to serve the students and families of George Washington High School. I have worked in urban high school education for more than 25 years, and my passion has always been helping every student feel supported, challenged, and successful.

At Washington, I serve as the Local District Representative (Case Manager), where I support students with IEPs and 504 plans. I work closely with teachers, counselors, and families to make sure students receive the services and opportunities they need to thrive academically and personally. I am also part of our MTSS Team, which focuses on providing early support for students who may need additional help with academics, attendance, or well-being.

Throughout my career at Washington, I have also worked as an Instructional Program Coordinator, AP Team leader, and mentor for new teachers. These roles allow me to support both students and staff in creating strong learning environments where everyone can grow.

Above all, I believe that every student deserves to feel seen, heard, and capable of success, and I am grateful to work in a school community that shares that commitment.

Educational Philosophy

My educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that all students can learn and achieve at high levels when they are supported, challenged, and valued. I believe schools should provide a balance of strong academic expectations, meaningful relationships, and structured support systems.

I focus on using data, collaboration, and research-based practices to improve student outcomes while also remembering the human side of education. Every student has a story, strengths, and potential. My goal is to help build systems where students receive the support they need while developing the independence and confidence necessary for college, careers, and life.

I also believe that schools are strongest when families, teachers, and students work together, and I value open communication and partnership with our school community.

Fun Fact
Outside of school, I write a column for The WRite Stuff newspaper, in the Whiting-Robertsdale area, where I highlight local events, education, and family resources for student success and support; and I am also a change agent in my Catholic parish community, where I enjoy supporting school and family events that bring people together.
